We’ve created courses that are focused on a racer’s individual ability, so there’s something for everyone including our youngest racers! During the registration process, you will be asked to select which color course is best for your racer; however, if they want to change their course selection on race day, no problem— just let us know when you check in race morning. MiniTri’s are participatory and not timed, so it’s about experiencing multisport in a fun and safe way!

- Purple Buddy Course Requirements – Wingmen ages 16 or older, are REQUIRED to accompany their triathlete in the pool or walk on the pool deck alongside their racer during the swim, and walk/run alongside them on the bike and run courses. Wingmen may not ride a separate bike alongside their racer while on the bike and run courses. Crossing the finish line together is optional – some kidz just might want to do that on their own! Sorry mom and dad…it does happen! Swim aids (Coast Guard approved puddle jumpers or swim vests), bigwheels, balance bikes and 3- or 4-wheel bikes are all permitted. Scooters are not permitted. NOTE: Racers must be fully potty trained to participate—no pull ups or water-specific pants allowed.
- Blue, Green & Orange Course Requirements – Racers must be able to complete the entire course on their own. Wingmen support on these courses is not permitted and parents may not ride a bike or run next to their racer at any time. Swim aids (Coast Guard approved puddle jumpers or swim vests), 4-wheel and 2-wheel bikes are permitted. Balance bikes, big wheels, tricycles, and scooters are not permitted.
- Parent Support – One parent is permitted to help each racer setup their transition area race morning. If your racer requires support in transition during the event, please let us know race morning. Remember, some kidz can do this all on their own and want to, so we want to be supportive and encourage them to be independent.
