KidzTri3 South Jersey Splash & Dash

We’re excited to be adding this fun event to our KidzTri3 South Jersey race weekend to promote the love of multisport!Splash_Dash_SouthJersey

KidzTri3 South Jersey Splash & Dash is one of 50 events across the country that is part of USA Triathlon’s National Youth Aquathlon Series. A Swim/Run event that introduces kids ages 5-15 to USA Triathlon and the exciting world of multisport confidently and safely, the focus of the event is on participation rather than competition.

Race Overview
All KidzTri3 events take place on a specifically designed closed course, which means there is no vehicular traffic permitted during the event. Nothing is more important than the safety of your athlete. Any time you have a bunch of kids together there is bound to be a scraped knee or elbow, but we have gone to great lengths to make this as safe a course as possible.

The Race Course
Athletes will have a real treat swimming in this beautiful indoor 50 meter Olympic pool, where many elite swimmers from across the country have swam before! Each athlete will enter the water one-by-one in a time trial start, approximately every 3 to 5 seconds, by age group.  You will be able to see your athlete during the entire swim portion from the grand stands area to cheer them on!

Athletes will exit the pool and run a brief distance to the Transition Area. Transitioning to the run course, athletes will weave their way through the campus and back to the cheers of adoring fans and great music as you hear your athlete’s name announced when they cross the finish line!

To ensure the safety of our athletes, we need a minimum of 75 Volunteers to help on the day of the event. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit our Volunteer Registration Site or email our Volunteer Coordinator.

Participant Race Age
Boys and girls ages 5 to 15 can participate in KidzTri3 South Jersey Splash & Dash. As a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, we must adhere to USA Triathlon’s Competitive Rules, including age group classifications. An Athlete’s race age is determined by their actual age on December 31, 2016.  As an example, athletes turning 10 this year, whether their birthday is in March or in December, will be placed in the 9-10 age group. Athletes turning 16 this year are not eligible to participate in KidzTri3 events.
