Our Junior triClub provides kidz the opportunity to learn about the multi-sport lifestyle, all while being in a fun, exciting, and safe atmosphere. This is a perfect environment for kidz who are recreational athletes, have never participated in an organized sport, or are just not team-sport kidz.
Triathlon is an individual sport, and even though we practice together and support each other, we participate individually to reach our own personal goals. For kidz who already participate in triathlons, this is an opportunity to share their passion with kidz who are new to the sport we love and make new friends!
The Club is open to all kidz ages 6 to 15.
Club members have the option to participate in any of our coach-supported races and enter other races they choose.
USA Triathlon has recommended guidelines for race directors when designing a race course for youth triathletes. Race distances are age group specific, and both are determined by each race director based on their specific venue constraints.
Below is an example of age groups and race distances for youth triathlons.
- 7-10 years old – 50-100m Swim ~ 2-3km Bike ~ 100m-1km Run
- 11-12 years old – 200m Swim ~ 5-7km Bike ~ 2km Run
- 12-15 years old – ≤ 500m Swim ~10km Bike ~ 3km Run

In April and May, training sessions increase to once a week. Then, from June through August (our race season), training will be twice a week.
