WELCOME to KT3 Racing!

This is the place where your kidz can get involved in triathlon to practice their swim, bike and running skills with kidz from communities all over the Tri-State area!  Our Regional Youth Triathlon Clubs are designed to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle for boys and girls starting at age 6 through high school.

ALL KIDZ ARE WELCOMED REGARDLESS OF THEIR ATHLETIC ABILITY!

Some kidz may be experienced triathletes, while others may participate in other sports, and some may have never been involved in sports and want to become a triathlete for the first time.

We promote comradery and good sportsmanship throughout every aspect of the organization. Our  Coaches focus on safety, learning the fundamentals of the sport, proper techniques, developing coordination and agility, all while having lots of fun!

Kidz gain self-confidence by striving to achieve individual goals with their teammates in a positive and supportive environment.

Club Teams
We have Two Teams to support kids ages 6 through high school. Kidz ages 13 to 15 can race on both teams, since many youth races, including those produced by us, have age group divisions up to 15 years of age.  We know some kids 13 to 15 are not in high school and/or do not want to participate in longer (Sprint) triathlons, which is totally cool with us, so we provide an opportunity for all kids to participate where they feel most comfortable.

Elite Team
We’ve been asked a lot about kids who want to focus solely on triathlon and be part of KT3 Racing.  Our focus first, is to have fun; second to make great memories for your kidz; and third, to have them love a sport they can do for the rest of their lives.

In the world of triathlon when you hear “performance” or “elite” it refers typically to draft legal racing (Olympic-style racing).  Some kids however only want to race age group triathlons and become top dog. We get it and are forming a non-draft legal Elite Team to support kidz who want to compete at a higher level. For those that want to move into draft legal racing, stay tuned!

If this is something you want to explore further, email us HERE and indicate you want to discuss the Elite Team specifically.  Elite Team training programs, the number of practices and duration are in addition to scheduled Club practices.

Club Practice Sessions
We know that families are busy, some kidz are in other sports or club programs, and it’s hard to find time during the school year to taxi kidz to every activity they want to do. So, we’ve made it easy!

TriClub practices are scheduled all year round to continue to build and progress your child’s endurance and multi-sport skills, while taking into account other activities they are involved in, including family time.  Club practices are one hour in duration, unless we have to schedule a double practice due to weather cancellations, etc.  The schedule is something each Head Coach posts and updates with input from Club parents.  Club practices follow this guideline:

  • September – March – once a month on a Sunday
  • April & May – once a week on Sunday
  • June, July, August – twice a week, typically during the week since triathlons are on the weekend
